The study adopted a rigorous survey methodology encompassing two distinct phases; initially targeting political candidates in the Punjab constituency, and subsequently soliciting responses from registered voters within their respective constituencies. The data collection process adhered to a meticulously structured multistage cluster sampling strategy. From an initial pool of 500 registered voters, the researcher gathered 384 valid and insightful responses. The analysis of this dataset was conducted employing the highly regarded Smart PLS 4.0, utilizing the structural equation model technique for comprehensive analytical scrutiny. The discerning findings of this inquiry underscore that the political marketing mix exerts a significant and inverse influence on political cynicism, while political cynicism, in turn, exerts a negative impact on voting intention, ultimately yielding a notable effect. Concurrently, the research affirms that the political marketing mix wields a constructive and statistically significant impact on voting intention. The implications of this research are manifold, offering invaluable insights for researchers, practitioners, political candidates, and policy makers alike.

2023-06-30T00:00:00+03:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Zaighum Abbas, Adil Adnan http://www.cusitjournals.com/index.php/CURJ/article/view/894 Corporate Social Responsibility and Firm’s Performance: An Evidence from the Cement Industry of Pakistan. 2023-12-11T13:18:25+02:00 Khan Muhammad Niaz niazkhanbannu@gmail.com Shahid Mehmood shahidmehmood8009@gmail.com Haseeb Ur Rehman haseebbabo@gmail.com
This study aims to investigate the influence of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on the financial performance of the firms in cement industry of Pakistan. The study employed quarterly data collected from the annual and other financial reports of the sample firms from 2009 to 2016. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), as a predictor, is measured by Donation, Insurance and Worker Welfare Fund while firm’s performance, as an outcome variable, is measured by Earning per Share (EPS) and Net Profit Margin (NPM). The results, by employing Ordinary Least Square with Panel Corrected Standard Errors (OLS-PCSEs) showed that CSR has a positive effect on the firm’s financial performance. Besides supporting the stakeholder’s theory, the findings also explain the social behavior of Pakistani cement firms which implies that firms implementing CSR activities in their operations are having an edge on those who do not implement any such activities.
2024-01-05T00:00:00+02:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Khan Muhammad Niaz, Shahid Mehmood, Haseeb Ur Rehman http://www.cusitjournals.com/index.php/CURJ/article/view/912 EXPLORING MANAGERIAL PROBLEMS OF WOOLEN COTTAGE INDUSTRY IN CHITRAL (PAKISTAN) 2023-12-19T17:27:08+02:00 Dr. Aziz Ahmad azizmgt1@gmail.com Saima Samdani saimasamdani@gmail.com Dr. Irshad Ahmad Yousafzai yousafzaiirshadahmad@gmail.com
Abstract

The local woolen industry in Chitral, Pakistan, holds a unique place both culturally and economically and sustains the livelihoods of the people of the locality. However, due to global uncertainties and thefts, the execution of transportation activities is cumbersome. Hence, this study through a systematic literature review aims to find the major security and safety issues in the transportation sector of South Asian Nations with a special focus on Pakistan and investigate the way how to mitigate those risks to reduce their impact on the productivity of Pakistan. The findings indicated that major security and safety issues include, terrorist attacks, theft of goods, and inappropriate technological integration, lack of real-time tracking of goods and vehicles. These security issues can affect productivity and can become an economic barrier by disrupting operations, decreasing confidence and investments, damaging Pakistan’s reputation, and increasing costs by the implementation of security measures, and insurance premiums. Delays, loss of goods, and inventory can lead to financial losses. The mitigating strategies, the logistics and transportation companies may use guarded parking and storage facilities outfitted with surveillance systems, access restrictions, and security personnel. Real-time tracking of cars and goods is made possible by the installation of GPS tracking systems. It enables organizations to monitor the location, speed, and routes of their inventory, assisting in preventing the possibility of theft, recovery, and timely delivery. This study implies that managers and practitioners should focus on these issues and strategies to promote their profitability and economic growth.
2023-12-30T00:00:00+02:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Fatima Javed, Muhammad Rahies Khan, Gulmena Saeed http://www.cusitjournals.com/index.php/CURJ/article/view/919 Sovereign Risk Assessment in Changing Political Landscapes: Moderating Role of Financial Vulnerability 2023-12-06T11:38:39+02:00 Sobia Murtaza sobia.murtaza@hotmail.com Dr. Liaqat Ali 786liaqat@gmail.com
This study aimsto investigate the impact of political regimes on sovereign risk with the moderating
role of financial vulnerability. To investigate the causal pathway of democratic advantage, the
study used ordered probit regression by considering a sample of 52 emerging economies
participating in BRI. The findings of the study reveal that democracies generally have lower credit
ratings and a higher likelihood of default compared to their autocratic counterparts and the
situation worsens when the level of debt crosses the threshold. Increased credit risk due to a high
debt burden significantly affects economic adjustments, ultimately hindering economic growth.
These findings contribute to a better understanding of policymakers and investors to manage credit
risk specifically in the context of BRI.
Keywords: Sovereign risk, financial vulnerability, debt sustainability, Belt & Road Initiative
(BRI)
2024-01-01T00:00:00+02:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Sobia Murtaza, Dr. Liaqat Ali http://www.cusitjournals.com/index.php/CURJ/article/view/860 The effect of talent management on creativity & innovativeness in the context of public-sector universities K.P.K, Pakistan: The buffering role of organizational culture 2023-12-08T12:05:28+02:00 Muhammad Haseeb Qureshi qhaseeb1989@gmail.com Muhammad Imran muhammadimran@qurtuba.edu.pk
In the 21st century, scholars have had a lot of debate about the penetration of talent management that’s lead to quality education and research in universities.
